The first 10 licences were awarded six months later, with the initial recipients of remote gambling licences being allowed to go live on 1 October 2024. At the time of writing (August 2024), the NGA has issued a total of 25 remote gambling licences.

Since October 1, 2024, online gambling has been legalised in the Netherlands. So far, twenty gaming companies have been licensed.
